Chrisley Knows Best

Difficulties on the journey bring Julie Chrisley back home

The Chrisley family might have a huge relief coming their way if Julie Chrisley is released from prison following her appeal, but according to her daughter Savannah Chrisley, it won’t be without its complications.

As the family awaits the verdict regarding Julie’s appeal, Savannah is opening up about the concerns she has about her mother coming home – especially while her father Todd Chrisley remains behind bars.

Recently, the Chrisley family got some huge news: matriarch Julie Chrisley may be returning home soon.

At the time, the Chrisley’s attorney shared a statement with People about the news.

“We’re pleased that the Court agreed that Julie’s sentence was improper, but we’re obviously disappointed that it rejected Todd’s appeal,” their attorney shared.

“With this step behind us, we can now challenge the couple’s convictions based on the illegal search that started the case. The family appreciates the continued support they’ve received throughout this process. And they’re hopeful for more good news in the future.”

But according to her daughter Savannah Chrisley, there’s still some concerns moving forward, despite this happy news.

On her podcast Unlocked, she predicted moving forward will be “tough.”

Savannah seems concerned about the uphill battle of processing a prison stay.

“It’s just gonna be a lot to be reintegrated back into things when you live literally in the same freaking room, 24 hours a day, freaking 365 days a year,” Savannah shared on Unlocked.

“It’s gonna be tough for her. So that does worry me, but at the same time, we all know we can do it.”

Savannah shared how heartbreaking it has been for her to watch her parents behind bars.

She shared that the situation “broke [her] heart” given that the system could “break people in a matter of days.”

She shared that it’s difficult for her to hear her mother refer to herself as an “inmate,” People reports.

“You’re not referring to yourself like that. You are a person, and you’re worth more than the things that you’re saying to yourself,” Julie shared.

However, despite Savannah’s concerns, she shared that her father is happy that Julie may soon be a free woman.

She recently shared that her father shed “happy tears” at the news.

“He’s fine,” Savannah spilled on her podcast after the news broke, speaking of her father.

“He was crying, like, happy tears knowing that mom could be home. That’s the only thing he cares about right now is getting her home.”

Of course, Julie was experiencing some complicated emotions herself.

“Mom obviously was heartbroken for dad, but hopefully she can come home and then she can go visit him, and that will be a game changer, I think, for his overall mental health and well-being and for hers too,” Savannah shared with her listeners. “So I’m hoping that happens, but it was crazy.”

She also shared that some in her circle view this as a new opportunity.

She shared that her publicist contacted her to ask if the family would be interested in returning to filming given the news.

“I had a call with my publicist today because she just had to call and, like, vent to me for a second,” Savannah revealed.

“She was like, ‘Can you believe the crap that people do?’ Apparently, someone, a production company, reached out to her and asked if my mom was exclusive with a production company yet. And Alexa [Garcia] was like, ‘You do realize she’s still in prison, correct?’”

She shared that being on TV is not “what she’s worried about right now” on her podcast, People reports.
