Gold Rush is finally back for Season 15. Gold prices have never been higher. However, the teams have more pressure now than ever. Now, it is not just finding the gold, or repairing the equipment. They deal with “greed, unbridled ambition, and family turmoil.” That could slow down any team in the Yukon.
Here are some of the details about the upcoming season of the Discovery gold mining show. This also includes the premiere date and what teams are back.
Gold Rush Season 15 Is Coming Soon
On Friday, Discovery announced the premiere of Gold Rush Season 15. According to The Futon Critic, the series premieres on Friday, November 8, at 8 p.m., Eastern. Moreover, the three teams that are returning include Parker Schanbel, Rick Ness, and Tony Beets. “This season, the miners will face unforeseen changes and immense challenges before they can cash in on all-time high gold prices.”
However, the press release includes a very ominous spoiler. “One miner will falter, threatening to destroy everything that they worked for.”
In addition, Discovery warns viewers that the drama will be off the charts like the price of gold. Who will be consumed by greed, and ambition, or deal with messy family drama?
Parker Schnabel Is Racing Against Time
Discovery fans have always been invested in Parker Schnabel’s coming-of-age story. However, in this season of Gold Rush, Parker feels the pressure. On one hand, his Dominion Creek claim should give him about $200 million of gold. However, he has six years to make this happen. That is because his license will expire in six years.
Over his career, Parker and his team have mined over 63,000 ounces of gold. This season, his goal is 10,000 ounces. That should make this a $25 million season. But, fans are warned, “Parker is one bad decision away from sinking his whole operation and derailing his masterplan for a gold bonanza.”
Rick Ness Is Battling Demons In New Gold Rush Season
In Gold Rush Season 14, Rick Ness returned. After taking a year off to deal with his life, he returned and found redemption. He built his crew and they found gold. However, things are not much easier this season. “a bombshell from his landlord throws him into a tailspin, jeopardizing his entire future and everything he’s worked hard to build.”
Tony Beets Has Some Family Drama
Lastly, Tony Beets and his family are dealing with a power play. Firstly, Tony set a goal of 5,000 ounces of gold. That seems possible. However, Kevin wants to strike it out on his own. Now, Tony is relying on his two other children and his nephew. But, “a power struggle ensues that threatens to reshape the family dynasty.”
